[Opinion] Constitutional protection observes Bavarian AfD MP Rene Dierkes

According to the Neu-Ulmer AfD politician Franz Schmid, the constitutional protection in Bavaria observes a second member of the parliament. Dierkes is suspected of using his mandate to fight the liberal democratic basic order.

Munich - Until constitutional protection is allowed to target a parliamentarian, a lot is needed. In Bavaria, two AfDlers already fulfil the requirements for this, including Rene Dierkes, a native of Nuremberg. A third could follow.

In the opinion of the constitutional protection on the AfD as a secure right-wing extremist endeavour also plays a role the Landesverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Altogether, the paper connects 13 deputies and officials from the country with unconstitutional activities.
