According to AFAD data, two earthquakes of magnitude 4.8 and 4.9 occurred 17 minutes apart in Saimbeyli district of Adana, while a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Sumbas district of Osmaniye. Speaking on TGRT Haber live broadcast, seismologist Prof. Dr. Okan Tüysüz said, "I can say that this is not a region where I expect a major earthquake."
