A third of Gen Z would happily book a day off work to 'bed rot'
Cadbury &More partnered with social media star Nella Rose to launch a "Bed Retreating Service," inspired by the practice of "bed rot" involving spending an entire day in bed prioritizing rest.
A OnePoll study of 2,000 adults found 55 per cent of Gen prioritize "cosy culture," with 44 per cent choosing to spend all day in bed as escape from "hustle culture" pressures.
Staying in often feels luxurious, with 57 per cent of Gen scrolling social media in bed while 53 per cent ensure their room includes snacks and 43 per cent prioritize clean sheets.
Bedroom comforts now influence romantic compatibility; 19 per cent of Gen judge love interests based on bedroom setup, while 26 per cent skip social activities like sports to lounge in bed.
Brand manager Ellie Swales said Gen are "redefining what it means to unwind," noting that well-curated bed days with comfort and snacks now feel more indulgent than a night out.
