In Adana, the trial of the defendant, who was arrested for allegedly shooting and wounding his ex-wife, began with a request for a prison sentence of up to 28 years on charges of "attempted intentional murder against a divorced spouse," "purchasing, carrying, or possessing unlicensed firearms and ammunition," and "threatening with a weapon."
B.T.T., who allegedly followed his ex-wife and child on a motorcycle and attempted to attack them in traffic in Izmir, has been arrested. The suspect, who had previously received 14 restraining orders, is facing legal proceedings for stalking and violating Law No. 6284.
The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that legal action has been taken against the suspect, who allegedly harassed his ex-wife and child by following their vehicle on a motorcycle, for violating Law No. 6284 and for persistent stalking, and that the suspect has been arrested.
