In a Super Bowl commercial, a North Dakota barley farmer appears alongside Clydesdales and a bald eagle, highlighting the state's agriculture, Kristina Aackler said, 'we're so excited.'
Speaking about the casting, Kristina Aackler, head of marketing for Budweiser, said the company is 'so excited' to feature a barley farmer in the ad.
Speaking to KFYR, Brian Fransen said 'I had no idea what to expect out here, but to be able to be here on set and experience something like this for the first time was just kind of mind-blowing.'
Despite brief airtime, the commercial's Super Bowl slot elevates North Dakota agriculture to a national and global audience, highlighting farmers' importance.
From Coleharbor, a tiny North Dakota town, Fransen was invited while harvesting barley on his family farm, still located about 62 miles north of Bismarck.
