The Central Weather Administration of Taiwan stated that a perceptible earthquake occurred in northern Taiwan at around 8:36 p.m. today (26th). The epicenter was located 35.8 kilometers southeast of the New Taipei City Government (in Shuangxi District, New Taipei City), with a focal depth of approximately 95.7 kilometers. Residents in some affected areas received national-level alerts on their mobile phones.
