Police officers forced entry found the man with a lighter in his hand. An unscrewed gas cylinder was lying next to him. Officers immediately sprang into action.
An intoxicated 65-year-old man turned on the valve of a gas cylinder in his apartment and then, holding a lighter, attempted to ignite the fire. Siedlce police officers risked their own lives to subdue the man. Thirty-eight people were evacuated from the building.
