It was one of the last trains to be deported to Dachau during the Second World War. In the summer of 1944, the railways were blown up by resistors, and the Nazis forced the 700 deportees to walk between Roquemaure and Sorgues. Today, high school students and college students continue this journey, so that memory can be preserved.
