Six Terrorists Killed in Panjgur IBO: ISPR
Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices as counterterrorism operations continue across Balochistan, the military said.
On Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations announced security forces killed six militants in an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur District, Balochistan, on the night of June 3/4.
Security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and Improvised Explosive Devices from the site, as the ISPR stated the militants "remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area."
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the forces for the operation, with Zardari calling the elimination "an important step toward establishing peace."
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the action, while the ISPR reiterated that counter-terrorism operations under the vision "Azm e Istehkam" will continue at full pace.
This operation follows broader counter-terrorism efforts, as security forces killed 17 terrorists earlier this week in Balochistan and four militants belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-Al-Khwarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province on June 3/4.
