Russia warns Britain of 'consequences' for supplying drones to Ukraine
The Russian embassy said Britain will face consequences after reports that UK-made drones were used in strikes on Russian military and industrial sites.
- On Monday, The Russian Embassy in London accused Britain of becoming "an accomplice and co-perpetrator" of attacks, warning "The deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support for Kiev's terrorist machinery, the higher the price it will pay."
- The Sunday Times reported that drones produced by two British companies had been used by Kyiv to strike military and industrial targets inside Russian territory for the first time.
- One manufacturer is reportedly linked to BAE Systems, while the second remains unidentified for security reasons; London has provided roughly $33 billion in assistance to Kyiv since February 2022, including £16 billion in military aid.
- Britain's Defence Ministry declined immediate comment as Moscow threatened the United Kingdom with "consequences" over the drone disclosures.
