450,000 Flemish households are at risk of having to pay for the solar energy they sell to their supplier. This is evident from a study by VRT NWS. Especially if it is a sunny summer, many families are at risk of having to pay extra. One supplier, Octa+, is already making some customers pay.
The ban on the grid feed of small household-sized power plants, imposed in 2022, is gradually being lifted, but thousands of affected people will still have to wait years to connect, while the number of solar systems in Hungary has already exceeded three hundred thousand.
