45 per cent of all crops harvested in Central Alberta

Drier weather helped harvest progress, but provincial completion remains far below five-year and 10-year averages, the latest crop report says.

Central Alberta farmers have harvested about half of all crops, according to the provincial government’s latest crop report. About 45 per cent of crops in Alberta’s Central Region have been harvested, as of Sept. 22. This is well behind the five-year average of 78 per cent and 10-year average of 58.5 per cent.
