3 Elderly People Found Dead in Mount Holly Home, Investigation Underway
Authorities said there is no threat to the public as investigators await autopsies and withhold the victims’ names until next of kin are notified.
On Friday afternoon, police discovered three elderly people dead inside a home in Mount Holly, New Jersey, after responding to a note on the door instructing officers to call 911.
A mail carrier alerted authorities after finding a note on the door, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor; the note explicitly instructed to call 911.
Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia and Mount Holly Township Police Chief Clifford Spencer stated, "There is no threat or danger to the public in connection with this incident." The investigation continues jointly.
Authorities are withholding the names of the decedents until next of kin are notified, while autopsies by the Burlington County Medical Examiner are scheduled for this weekend.
The residence is located on the unit block of Winding Way near the township's border with Eastampton, and police have not released information regarding the cause of death.
