2027 Kia EV3 Revealed for North America Ahead of Its Arrival Later This Year

The subcompact EV will offer up to 320 miles of range and standard NACS charging as Kia expands its U.S. electric lineup.

  • On Wednesday, Kia unveiled the 2027 EV3 at the New York International Auto Show, marking the subcompact electric crossover's official U.S. debut. The vehicle arrives in late 2026.
  • Designed with EV9-inspired styling, the EV3 serves as Kia's entry-level electric SUV, delivering efficient performance in a compact footprint while sharing the fundamental design language of larger pioneering models.
  • The EV3 offers two battery options: a 58.3 kWh pack delivering up to 220 miles of range and an 81.4 kWh battery providing up to 320 miles. DC fast charging reaches 10 to 80 percent in 29 to 31 minutes.
  • Kia has not released official pricing, but previously targeted a starting range around $35,000. Eric Watson, vice president of sales operations for Kia America, said the EV3 "represents a bold step forward in making electric mobility accessible."
  • The EV3 includes Vehicle to Load capability standard and Vehicle to Home as an option, allowing owners to power external devices or home sections during peak usage or outages with a bidirectional charger.
