2027: Hamzat Unveils Manifesto,100 Pledges For A More Prosperous Lagos
- On Friday, All Progressives Congress governorship candidate Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat unveiled his 100-point manifesto, 'The Lagos Promise,' at the Wole Soyinka Centre in Iganmu, Lagos.
- Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu endorsed Hamzat, citing their seven-year working relationship and the deputy governor's integral role in major projects including the Blue and Red rail lines.
- Hamzat pledged 580 new hospital beds, 100 upgraded primary healthcare centres, and a vocational placement scheme where the state pays 40 per cent of technical students' stipends.
- To ensure accountability, Hamzat proposed a Lagos State Service Delivery Office and promised complaints would be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days.
- Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashir Obasa endorsed Hamzat, saying he has "the competence, character, and most importantly, the determination" to lead. Party leaders called for mobilization ahead of the 2027 election.
