Minnesota voters head to the polls on November 3, 2026, to decide critical state and federal races, including the U.S. Senate, Governor, and legislative seats.
High-Profile contests include the race for Governor, where DFL candidate Amy Klobuchar faces Republican Lisa Demuth, and the U.S. Senate seat, contested by Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Republican Michele Tafoya.
Legislative control rests on the 67 Minnesota Senate seats, where DFLers defend a slim 34 to 33 majority. Voters will decide all eight U.S. House seats, including the open 2nd District.
Voters will also select statewide officials, including Three-term DFL Secretary of State Steve Simon facing Republican Tad Jude for Secretary of State. DFLer Zack Filipovich, Republican Scott Jensen, and Forward Independence candidate Jay Reeves compete for Minnesota Auditor.
Nonpartisan judicial contests round out the ballot, featuring Minnesota Supreme Court Associate Justices Sarah Hennesy and Paul Thissen running unopposed in their statewide races.
