A suspect in a stolen vehicle who had 38 prior arrests was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after he led authorities on a chase in Calera and hit another driver, police said.A patrol officer spotted the vehicle on Highway 16 and initiated a traffic stop when the suspect fled and struck another vehicle, said Calera Police Chief David Hyche.
