Look: World's Largest Bowl of Guacamole Mixed up in Mexico
Tancítaro, Michoacán set a Guinness World Record with the largest bowl of guacamole weighing 6.8 metric tons during its 13th annual Avocado Festival.
Over 1,000 local growers and community members collaborated to prepare the record-setting guacamole in 2 ½ hours.
The event highlights the efficiency and coordination of Mexico's avocado industry that delivers fresh avocados to U.S. shelves within two to five days.
Raul E. Martínez Pulido, President of APEAM, credited the achievement to the many Michoacán families who rely on avocado farming.
