13 teens arrested after massive brawl at Quartier Dix30
Police say the arrests followed video review, witness interviews and 12 searches after a 15-year-old boy was badly injured in the fight.
- On Wednesday, Longueuil police arrested 13 teenage boys aged 15 and 16 in connection with a violent incident near Quartier Dix30 mall in Brossard that occurred April 18.
- Officers received three 911 calls around 5:30 p.m. on April 18 reporting a severe fight; video footage shows youths kicking, punching and using a baton before the altercation escalated into a wider brawl involving about a dozen people.
- Among the 13 arrested, four are 15-year-olds and nine are 16-year-olds facing charges including armed assault, assault and aiding and abetting; police identified suspects after reviewing video evidence and interviewing the victim and witnesses.
- The 15-year-old victim sustained wounds to his head, arms and legs requiring hospital treatment, while Longueuil police stated all violent acts will be met with rigorous intervention and appropriate legal action.
