German federal prosecutors have charged seven suspected Hamas members in Berlin with membership in a foreign terrorist organisation and preparing an attack, including by procuring weapons, they said on Friday.
An agent of the German Federal Agency for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV, German counter-intelligence) was involved in the transfer of weapons and ammunition to the Hamas cell, which prepared the attacks in Berlin and Vienna, as reported by the German tabloid Bild with reference to the prosecutor's indictment.
