The Drug Enforcement Administration recognizes August 21 as National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that is approximately 50 times more potent than heroin. Bessie Coleman was the first Black woman to earn a pilot's license in 1921. American Airlines hosted a flight out of Dallas with an all-Black, all-female crew.
