David R. Cooke of Virginia, formerly of Riverhead, died on Nov. 3, 2025, in Kansas Center. He was 85 years old. Born on Dec. 15, 1939, in Swannanoa, North Carolina, he was the son of Roy and Ruby (Hall) Cooke. He graduated from Charles D. Owen High School in Black Mountain, North Carolina, in 1957.
