YueDong Vision Brings Bullet-Time Technology from Hollywood to the Gymnastics Floor
The system uses a champion model database to help coaches compare movements, and it is already being used by teams in multiple provinces.
On Monday, October 26, youth entrepreneurial team YueDong Vision announced the application of Hollywood-style bullet-time technology to gymnastics training. The group independently developed an intelligent analysis system to assist coaches and athletes in improving performance.
By repurposing volumetric video technology originally designed for large-scale events, the team makes the solution affordable for grassroots training venues. This innovation shifts gymnastics training from experience-based judgment toward data-driven transformation.
The startup secured RMB 2 million in financing and RMB 1.7 million in cooperation intent from provincial sports bureaus. YueDong Vision also holds multiple invention patents and software copyrights protecting its intellectual property.
Professional gymnastics teams and grassroots sports schools have already implemented the system, helping athletes break through long-term technical bottlenecks. The project is expected to create more than 100 direct and indirect jobs.
Expanding beyond gymnastics, the team plans to extend its digital training technology to diving, figure skating, and other skill-based sports. Continued refinement in algorithm iteration and market alignment will enable broader adoption.
