Youth arrested, crowd 'unruly' at illegal street racing in Langley

One youth was arrested for assaulting an officer during an illegal street racing event in Langley, where about 200 young people gathered on January 24.
The 16-year-old suspect was briefly released by the crowd but was later located by the Integrated Police Dog Service.
Harm Dosange stated that the incident raises serious public safety concerns and that the Langley RCMP will increase patrols in the area.
Officers used pepper spray to disperse the unruly crowd while attempting to enforce traffic violations and arrest the suspect.
