A medieval castle in the Spanish village of Escalona near Toledo collapsed on Saturday morning as several visitors waited for the monument to open. Fortunately, no one was injured and all the tourists managed to escape, but some of their cars were damaged by falling debris.
In the Spanish province of Toledo, a tower of the castle of Escalona popular with tourists collapsed. The incident occurred shortly before the regular opening of the sight to visitors. The mayor of Escalona declared that they had been very lucky: "Just a few minutes later we had experienced a great tragedy.
Just minutes after opening to the public, one of the towers of Escalona Castle in Toledo collapsed before the astonished eyes of tourists and locals.
