Wallace's big rushing day leads Penn State over Purdue 31-17, 1st Big Ten win under Matt Campbell
On Saturday, Penn State defeated Purdue 31-17 at Beaver Stadium, snapping a four-game losing streak with a dominant rushing performance.
Previously failing to reach 100 rushing yards in their previous three games, the Lions totaled 269 yards against the Boilermakers to control the clock.
Running back Cam Wallace rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown, while Carson Hansen added 96 yards and a score to power the offense.
With just 175 total yards, the Boilermakers failed to reach the red zone, though Jalil Hall returned a blocked punt for a touchdown early.
Penn State head coach Matt Campbell secured his first Big Ten win; the Nittany Lions visit Washington next Saturday while Purdue hosts Maryland.
