Wadhsons Group Puts Recycled Process Water at the Centre of Its Sustainable Denim Manufacturing
Wadhsons Group, a Hong Kong-based denim sourcing and supply chain company founded in 1985, treats and recycles process water on site at its denim washing facilities instead of discharging it as effluent.
This water recycling process is embedded in Wadhsons' production standards, meaning all brands sourcing denim through the company benefit from it alongside Better Cotton Initiative cotton in most products.
Haresh Wadhwani, CEO of Wadhsons Group, explained that recycling and treating process water is a standard part of production, benefiting all brands without needing separate agreements.
Wadhsons follows sustainability frameworks such as the ZDHC Gateway for chemicals, the Higg Index for facilities, and Textile Exchange's Global Recycled Standard and Organic Content Standard in its wider denim program.
