U.S. retail sales in January fell 0.2% month-on-month, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced on the 6th (local time) that U.S. retail sales in January totaled $733.5 billion, or approximately 1,095 trillion won, a 0.2% decrease from the previous month. This is the first decline in retail sales since October of last year. The decline is the eighth consecutive month-on-month decrease since May of last year.
