Tyson Fury: I uprooted my family to the Isle of Man to escape ‘nut jobs’
Fury said he moved his wife and seven children after repeated visits from disturbed strangers left him fearing for their safety.
Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury moved his wife Paris and their seven children from Morecambe to the Isle of Man late last year to escape unwanted visitors arriving at his home at all hours.
Fury revealed he was forced to relocate to escape 'nut jobs' who disturbed his family's safety. After living in Morecambe for 20 years, the boxer said the move was necessary despite the difficult decision.
The final straw occurred when a man climbed his 40ft gates, while another intruder claimed, 'I'm here to be adopted by Tyson and Paris.' Manager Spencer Brown once offered an intruder 20 quid to leave.
Returning to the ring today, the 37-year-old boxer faces Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, marking his first home appearance since defeating Derek Chisora in 2022.
The Gypsy King aims to overcome 16 months of inactivity with a victory over Makhmudov, positioning an all-British showdown against Anthony Joshua a step closer to reality.
