Dorman Products: Q3 Earnings Snapshot
The appliance maker said weak demand and higher rates pushed sales lower and led to a full-year loss forecast.
On Monday, Whirlpool Corp. reported a third-quarter loss of $237 million, sending shares down 8.5% in late trading after the maker of Maytag and KitchenAid posted disappointing results.
Weak appliance demand weighed on the company during the period, with revenue reaching $3.68 billion as macroeconomic headwinds pressured consumer purchasing power across major markets.
Whirlpool updated its 2026 outlook to a full-year GAAP loss of $4.95 per share, reversing prior profit expectations, with revenue projected at approximately $14.5 billion.
Despite the downturn, net debt expectations improved from under $5 billion to under $4.5 billion by year end, while the company maintained its approximately $300 million free cash flow target.
Fourth-Quarter price increases for major domestic appliances announced in North America and Latin America will support operational progress against the challenging macroeconomic backdrop.
