The candidate of the re-elected US President Donald Trump for the post of Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in his books encouraged the US military to stop following the Geneva Conventions. In them, he also criticized NATO, the UN and individual allied states. According to him, on the contrary, American foreign policy should have cooperation with Israel in the first place.
