Gennaro Gattuso, a former Italy international and current Lazio coach, has revealed that he has been struggling with an autoimmune disease for about 15 years. Iceland international Albert Guðmundsson recently joined Lazio. Gattuso, who is 48, stopped playing professional football in 2013 and says the illness played a major role in that decision. "I have been taking cortisone for 15 years," Gattuso said at the Festival dello Sport in Trento.
