The European Commission acknowledges the seriousness of the concerns over asbestos pollution in Hungary, the head of the body's Directorate-General for Environment, Laurie Kazan-Allent, informed the coordinator of the international organization calling for a ban on asbestos. The letter was sent to MTI by activist Dániel Holdosi from Szombathely on Thursday.
