Defending champion Matteo Jorgenson won the eight-day Paris-Nice race on Sunday, crossing the finish line on the French Riviera in second place as another American, Magnus Sheffield, won the stage from a solo attack.
The eighth and final stage around Nice did not experience a reversal of the situation. Yellow jersey since Thursday night, Jorgenson almost made a double shot on Sunday, finishing second of the stage behind his compatriot Magnus Sheffield.
