Einride Forecasts Faster Growth, Adds 500 Tesla Semi Trucks to Fleet

Einride said the purchase will triple its fleet and support expansion into key U.S. freight corridors as it manages the trucks with Saga AI.

  • On Tuesday, Einride AB announced an agreement to purchase 500 Tesla Inc. Semi trucks, marking the largest deployment of the electric vehicles to date.
  • Einride CEO Roozbeh Charli stated the deployment proves the company can execute at the scale customers demand, with Semis managed through the Saga AI fleet intelligence platform.
  • Financed through third-party funding, the phased deployment over the next 24 months will triple Einride's fleet from about 250 vehicles to roughly 750 as Tesla ramps production.
  • The Semis will support large clients including Amazon across logistics corridors in California, Georgia, New Jersey, Texas, and Illinois as Tesla increases production in Nevada.
  • While Tesla has pulled back on 2026 "volume production" promises, this deal marks a critical shift from pilot projects to commercial freight operations, testing the Semi's viability at scale.
