Responding to a starred question in Parliament, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal clarified that Tamil Nadu has remained India's third-largest exporting State since the financial year 2023-24, with exports valued at US$58.95 billion in 2025-26.
Just as there is competition among states in India to attract investment, there is also a lot of competition among the countries that export the most to top the list. In this situation, while there has been a lot of competition among Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu for the last 3 years, Tamil Nadu's exports have increased during the DMK regime.
