The Air France-KLM and Lufthansa aviation groups say they expect a decision next week from Portugal’s AD government on the privatisation of flag carrier airline TAP. They have both declined
We are awaiting a decision from the Portuguese state and we will have to meet it next week, said Air France-KLM executive president Benjamin Smith at a press conference in Brussels of the five largest European airlines, integrated into the Airlines for Europe (A4E) association.
Last week, the two airlines presented final and improved binding proposals for the acquisition of 44.9% of TAP's capital, and the decision is now up to the Portuguese government.
The aviation groups Air France-KLM and Lufthansa said today to wait for a decision in the next week of the Portuguese government on the privatization of the national air carrier TAP, refusing to reveal the content of the proposals.
