Stevie Nicks Shocks Fans With First-Ever Met Gala Appearance
Nicks wore a custom midnight-blue John Galliano for Zara look with Tiffany & Co. jewels and a feathered top hat for her first Met Gala.
On Monday, music legend Stevie Nicks made her Met Gala debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, wearing a custom midnight blue silk taffeta gown designed by John Galliano for Zara.
Nicks channeled the event's theme, "Fashion is Art," by pairing her petticoat-silhouette dress with a silk taffeta and velvet jacket, a notable moment for the Fleetwood Mac singer who has been famous for more than 50 years.
To complete the look, Nicks accessorized with a feather-adorned top hat created in collaboration with milliner Stephen Jones and diamond jewelry from Tiffany's Blue Book collection.
Zara and Galliano also dressed Inditex chairwoman Marta Ortega Perez for the occasion, with both custom looks separate from the designer's upcoming collection debuting later this year.
Nicks' appearance highlights the annual influx of first-time attendees at the Met Gala, underscoring the event's role in hosting a diverse mix of fresh stars alongside established icons.
