Starbucks launches 2 new drinks in UK supermarkets this month
The permanent chilled drinks expand Starbucks’ ready-to-drink range as matcha demand grows, with each bottle priced at about £2, the company said.
Starbucks is launching two new chilled drinks, Matcha Latte and Strawberry Matcha Latte, across UK supermarkets throughout August. These are permanent additions to the ready-to-drink range, not limited-edition releases.
The Matcha Latte blends milk with matcha, while the Strawberry Matcha Latte adds a fruity twist in pink and green packaging. Both drinks target consumers seeking new rituals and balanced energy.
Each drink has a recommended retail price of £2, though prices vary by retailer. The launch follows Starbucks' introduction of the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino ready-to-drink line.
Starbucks executive Nik Dhodi announced the new range on LinkedIn, confirming the drinks have launched across European, Middle Eastern, and African markets. He noted "Matcha is having a moment, and for good reason."
"We're thrilled to bring that to life with our new Starbucks RTD Matcha Latte and Matcha Latte Strawberry across several EMEA markets," Dhodi said. The company aims to provide consumers with new rituals and balanced energy.
