PlayStation Is Canceling a New Game in One of Its Most Beloved Franchises
OhBibi says the mobile game will be removed from app stores and kept online until May 1, 2027, after a soft launch in select regions.
Developer OhBibi announced today, November 6, 2026, that it is ceasing development of Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble. The final update releases today, and the app will be removed from stores on November 21, 2026.
The mobile arena shooter spin-off previously underwent a soft launch in Canada and other regions earlier this year. The title failed to achieve a planned worldwide release before the cancellation.
OhBibi removed all in-app purchases from the title, making the game's Super Pass available to everyone for free. The studio stated it made the "difficult decision" to cease development.
Existing players who downloaded the game before the store removal can continue playing until servers permanently shut down on May 1, 2027. Fans globally expressed disappointment at missing the chance to play.
Sony continues its mobile expansion with other projects, including Horizon Steel Frontiers, currently in development at NCSOFT. The company previously saw success with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on consoles.
