New LEGO PlayStation 1 Console Build Officially Revealed

Lego announced the LEGO PlayStation today, a 1,911-piece set replicating the original 1995 console that will retail for $180 starting October 1.
While this marks the first brick-built PlayStation hardware, Lego and PlayStation have collaborated before. In 2022, Lego released a set based on Horizon Forbidden West; the Lego Horizon Adventures game followed.
The build features mechanical buttons and hidden dioramas of The Ape Escape and The Gran Turismo inside the console. The Ape Escape scene includes an island with a simian; The Gran Turismo build contains a track and miniature cars.
Measuring 10.5 inches in width when fully assembled, the LEGO PlayStation allows builders to customize The Ape Escape monkey's helmet with red or blue lighting options.
This detailed set offers a charming tribute to gaming history, expanding the Lego and PlayStation partnership. Collectors can purchase the model beginning October 1.
