A new report shows that solar and wind power is growing faster than nuclear power – mainly because of the price.
Globally, electricity generation from nuclear power is projected to increase by 1.1% in 2025, while solar power is projected to increase by 30% and wind power by 8%. Thus, electricity production from renewable sources will far surpass that of nuclear power. By mid-2026, 73 reactors will be under construction worldwide, with over 50% of them located in China.
