The President of the Constitutional Court of Romania, Simina Tănăsescu, states that she has a separate opinion on the ruling of the CCR judges in the case of "the FritZ Amendment", stating that she will explain, in her opinion, why she believes that such a provision is unconstitutional. "I cannot argue otherwise," Tănăsescu added.
Cristian Tudor Popescu commented on the CCR's decision in the case of "the Fritz Amendment." The Gazetteer believes that the judges of the Court have come to make decisions that they consider to be politicized and inconsistent.
The CCR has decided that the retroactivity of the law is constitutional, accepting the Fritz Amendment, voted by the majority PSD and AUR. The stake is the beheading of the USR leader at any price. Thus, Romania takes the path of Hungary of Orban.
