Alcohol or drug use was the main cause of problems at the weekend music festival in the German capital.
The Parada “Rave the Planet”, a technical music event performed on Sunday in the center of Berlin, gathered about 200,000 participants and closed with a medical emergency wave. Nearly 400 people needed care in front of the place, and 69 were transported to the hospital with intoxicants, 13 of which were in critical condition, the authorities announced.
At "Rave the Planet" on Saturday 69 people had to go to the hospital. The Berlin fire department treated a total of almost 400 emergencies – most of them because of alcohol and drugs.
At the Loveparade follow-up event "Rave the Planet" 13 people were life-threatening on the weekend and 27 others were slightly injured. The main cause were intoxications.
