Shaw and Wilson trade goals in Gotham's 1-1 draw with the Thorns
Sophia Wilson scored her 11th goal of the season after video review awarded Portland a penalty.
On Friday, the Portland Thorns and Gotham played to a 1-1 draw in National Women Soccer League action, with both teams fighting to maintain their league positions.
Gotham midfielder Jaedyn Shaw broke a scoreless deadlock in the 61st minute by chipping the ball in after a pass from Sam Kerr; Portland forward Sophia Wilson equalized with a 75th-minute penalty, her 11th goal of the season.
Video review awarded the penalty after Gotham midfielder Jaelin Howell stepped on Portland forward Pietra Tordin. Rose Lavelle was ruled out of the match due to a concussion.
Both teams extended their unbeaten streaks with the draw, with Gotham moving to 10 games unbeaten while the Thorns reached four games without a loss.
San Diego Wave defeated Racing Louisville 3-2 in the league's only other match, storming back from a two-goal deficit with goals from Kenza Dali and others.
