Shamil Borchashvili won the Judo Grand Prix in Linz in the 81 kg class and thus achieved his first victory on the World Tour. The Austrian Olympic bronze medalist won the final on Friday against the Ukrainian surprise Michajlo Swidrak, who had previously beaten Shamil's younger brother Wachid in the semifinal. Wachid then lost the bronze fight, as did Magdalena Krssakova in the 63 kg class.
