"The Shanghai Organization has come a long way in a quarter of a century: I recall that, established in 2001 at the initiative of six States - Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan - it has strengthened and grown into one of the separate and influential centres of the emerging multipolar world," said Vladimir Putin.
