The governments of Pakistan and Turkey announced the rapid dispatch of troops and military resources to Saudi Arabia, within the framework of the collective defense agreement signed between the two countries in August, the Pact of Mecca, and at the time when Riyadh began a major offensive against the Houthi militia in Yemen, in response to local land advances and actions against its territory.
Turkey and Pakistan agreed to deploy troops in Saudi Arabia in a new alliance, facing the escalation of Houthi attacks against the kingdom.
Because of Huthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey are sending troops to support the Kingdom. The basis is a common defence agreement of the three states.
