Russian authorities allege the man, identified as Freddy Lindholm of Stockholm, entered the country under the pretext of joining the Russian Armed Forces to conceal plans for sabotage at military facilities.
In an FSB-released video, Lindholm said he joined the Ukrainian army's Aidar Battalion in Ternopil and trained in using FPV drones to commit 'terrorist attacks' and acts of sabotage.
The Swedish Foreign Ministry confirmed awareness of media reports regarding the detention but stated it is not currently involved in the case; the Swedish Embassy in Moscow refused to comment.
