Rolex Just Dropped a Surprise New Watch—and It’s Unlike Any Rolex You Know
Rolex unveiled the Perpetual Padellone in Milan as a new model separate from its Submariner, GMT-Master, and Daytona lines.
The 39mm watch is inspired by Rolex reference 8171, a late-1940s triple-calendar moonphase watch nicknamed “Padellone,” meaning “large frying pan” in Italian.
Its calendar displays the day, date, month, and moon phase, and requires correction only once a year.
Prices start at $59,000 for the Everose-gold model on leather; platinum costs $66,200, and the Settimo-bracelet version costs $72,800.
